DEI peak body firms up leadership

The Diversity Council of Australia (DCA) has elected leaders from UN Global Compact Network Australia, Telstra, and Schneider Electric, onto its board of directors.

Sunita Gloster replaces Ming Long as chair, as she has moved to the the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO), Australia's national science agency.

Gloster is a diversity advocate, a sought-after keynote speaker, commentator, and guest panellist on ABCTV Gruen.

Currently non-executive director for Maurice Blackburn Lawyers and UN Global Compact Network Australia, a major sustainability initiative for businesses in Australia, and a one-time UN Women advisor.

She is a senior advisor at Accenture and co-chairs the tech council of Australia's media and marketing committee.

She is an active member of Chief Executive Women, a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and an alumni of the Australian Institute of Company Directors chair's mentoring program for women in ASX board roles.

The new board directors are Ian Goshko, Telstra's global head of diversity, equity and inclusion, and Schneider Electric's Louise Monger, vice president digital buildings.
